Reservations at the group rate of $359 plus resort fee and taxes may be made until September 26th, 2025. After this date we cannot guarantee the DFK rate.

On making your reservation, guests are required to provide a credit/debit card to guarantee their room and the hotel requires all reservations to be guaranteed. All delegates will be individually responsible for payment of their own room, tax, and incidental charges.

Should a Client Guest cancel a reservation, the Hotel shall refund the deposit, provided notice of cancellation is given 7 days prior to arrival.

Travel Details

We recommend flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), which is the nearest major airport.
Please note that DFK will not be coordinating group transportation, but both Uber and taxi services are readily available at the airport.

If you prefer to rent a car, the hotel offers complimentary on-site parking for guests.

This preconference meeting takes place on Monday and will cover both domestic and international tax content. 5-7 hour of Tax CPE will be issued based on the duration of the meeting. (This session takes place at the same time as the DFK Canada and DFK USA Board of Directors Meetings. Please do not register for this event if you are attending those sessions.)

Tequila and Art Experience (Monday Afternoon)

Learn about the Spirit of Mexico during this interactive Arte y Agave Experience at BARCOA Agaveria & XICO Art Gallery. Start in the Cantina at BARCOA with a fresh margarita and decorate a traditional mezcal drinking vessel and learn why these cups exist, how they’re made, and how they’re used by Mezcaleros in Mexico. Then head into XICO for a tour of the gallery and learn about thousand-year-old printmaking techniques still used today. Then head into the basement bar at BARCOA for a spirits tasting and learn about tequila, mezcal, and other heritage agave spirits. (This activity is for early arrivals and accompanying guests on Monday afternoon. Please do not sign up if you are attending the Tax Seminar, DFK Canada Meeting or DFK USA Firm Level Breakouts.)

This guided tour gives an intimate and in-depth look at Taliesin West. In addition to the seminar theater, music pavilion, cabaret cinema, and Frank Lloyd Wright's private office, this tour includes a visit to the dramatic living room where you will sit in Wright-designed furniture and experience first-hand the drama of being a guest in Wright’s famous living room.  (This activity is at the same time as the general session on Tuesday morning and intended for accompanying guests.)

Tee off in the afternoon for a shotgun start golf tournament on a stunning desert landscape course. This fun and friendly competition is a great way to meet new people while playing for bragging rights as part of the winning team. Additional contests like longest drive and closest to the pin add to the excitement. All skill levels are welcome—just bring your game face and enjoy the views! Enjoy a self-guided tour of the stunning Desert Botanical Garden. Follow the brick path along the Garden’s main trail and discover the unique characteristics of desert plants from around the world through informative displays and scenic landscapes.

 

Afterward, take a short hike to the nearby "Hole-in-the-Rock" — a natural sandstone formation offering beautiful views and a bit of adventure. Transportation, guides, and gratuities are included.

Feel the West come alive as knowledgeable wranglers guide you on a 90-minute trail ride through the panoramic vistas of Arizona’s most famous desert. As you venture along desert trails winding through towering Saguaro cacti,

We’ll begin by meeting your group at the resort and accompanying them to the trailhead; on the way, our lead guide will deliver a briefing on desert hiking safety, offer tips on staying comfortable, and oversee the completion of our liability release form. When our boots meet the desert, we’ll make sure that everyone has plenty of water, and we’ll be carrying some high energy snacks along as well. Our guides will open this amazing resource with information, anecdotes, and observations of the area through which our carefully selected trail winds.
