The Asia-Pacific region encompasses all of Asia east of Iran and south of Russia, and includes all of Australasia and the Pacific Islands. Its unique nature like large distances, highly diverse populations and cultures are factors which impact doing business but our expertise enables us to navigate all of them with ease. Business transacted by firms in our APAC region has grown steadily in recent years and was US$160m in the year to December 2022.
DFK member firms across Asia-Pacific combine their local knowledge with the regional and global resources of DFK International to provide outstanding support to their clients. With representation in every major economy in the area, and multiple offices in large cities, DFK International is well placed to support clients in meeting their international accountancy and business advisory needs throughout the region.
Asia Pacific development
DFK Asia-Pacific has an Executive Committee which has developed a vision plan to assist members to grow and develop their services to clients.
The plan has clear goals which include:
- Providing technical support for member firms
- Ensuring that all Asia Pacific members meet DFK quality standards
- Strengthening relationships between all DFK member
- Reinforcing the DFK brand
- Increasing the number and location of quality members
- Encouraging and supporting national groups
The Executive Committee meets face-to-face at least three times per year as needed or more frequently by teleconference.
Each year we organise an Asia Pacific conference (hosted by one of our member firms) that includes two days of speakers and workshops with the aim of enabling us to share knowledge of the business issues for our region and giving member firms the opportunity to promote their business, their clients and their specialities.
In 2009, the Asia Pacific region appointed an Executive Officer to assist the regional Vice President and the Executive Committee achieve the goals set in the Asia Pacific Vision Plan.

Cheree Woolcock
Cheree Woolcock is the chief executive officer of DFK Benjamin King Money in Melbourne, Australia, having joined the firm in 1987.
As VP Asia Pacific of DFK International, Cheree is responsible for representing the Asia Pacific region of DFK at the executive board level and also leading the Asia Pacific Executive Committee. Cheree also leads the DFK Accounting Services Committee. Before being elected to her current role, Cheree was a director on the DFK International Advisory Board, a past Chairperson of DFK Australia New Zealand and a Board Member of Plenty Community Credit Union. She is a founding member of the DFK International Women in Leadership Committee. Cheree holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT University.
