Marching Through March returns for another successful mission!

DFK International’s Marching Through March charity challenge is back!

DFK International’s Marching Through March is back and member firms are being challenged more than ever before. The target has been set at a tremendous one million steps per team, to be completed throughout March, and over $15,000 needs to be raised to surpass last year’s efforts.

In what has become a highly anticipated DFK tradition, Marching Through March celebrates and honours International Women’s Day; the 2024 theme for which is ‘inspire inclusion’.

All money raised throughout the challenge will be donated to Kiva, an international, nonprofit organisation with a mission to expand financial access to help under-served communities thrive. This year, funds will go towards helping female small business owners who are in need of loans to help them achieve their ambitions. With a highly demanding target in mind, member firms are being encouraged to share DFK’s JustGiving page amongst friends, family and colleagues via their social media channels.

Teams of up to six participants from firms across the globe will embark on a journey of camaraderie, healthy competition and DFK community engagement. With no special equipment required and just a mobile phone to help count steps, the challenge promotes inclusivity, global cohesion and female empowerment.

About Kiva

Over 1.7 billion people around the world do not have access to the financial services they need. Founded in 2005 in San Francisco, Kiva is an international nonprofit, with a mission to expand financial access to help under-served communities thrive.

Kiva do this by addressing the underlying barriers to financial access around the world through crowdfunding loans. They unlock capital that improves the quality and cost of financial services. Through Kiva's work, students can pay for tuition, women can start businesses, farmers are able to invest in equipment and families can access emergency care.

By lending as little as $25 on Kiva, you can be part of the solution and make a real difference in someone’s life. Every dollar lent on Kiva goes towards funding loans.
