A DFK International member firm in India is reflecting on over three decades of ‘rewarding milestones of growth and impact’ as it celebrates its 35th anniversary.

Sathguru Management Consultants, based in Hyderabad, has spearheaded business growth since being established in 1985.

Its service offerings and expertise have evolved dynamically in response to client needs, encompassing traditional consulting with areas such as technology transfer and innovation advisory.

The firm is headed by CEO Vijayaraghavan Kannan, CEO of Sathguru Management Consultants.

He said: “We founded Sathguru in 1985 armed with negligible capital but an abundance of entrepreneurial spirit and passion to create tangible value for our clients.  As we reflect on the last three-and-a-half decades of a remarkable professional journey, it is filled with rewarding milestones of growth and impact.

“We nurtured a truly differentiated consulting practice known not just for industry depth but also the unique combination of business, finance and innovation advisory.”

Highlights have included the part the firm has played in helping clients scale heights of their industry, and training more than 2,000 corporate leaders through its partnership with Cornell University in developing executive education initiatives globally.

Its impact has also been felt in other areas such as creating policy frameworks in life sciences and innovation, and in developing software products for clients.

Vijayaraghavan added: “Our audit and tax practice is the most emphatic statement of our steadfast commitment to professional ethics.  On this foundation of strong ethics, the practice has scaled to command global respect within the DFK International network.

“We take pride in the mix of work we have nurtured; with complex cross-border tax issues, M&A transaction support and non-standard business advisory forming a fair share of the firm’s work portfolio.”

The firm is also proud of its initiative, Sankalp, which has supported the education of more than 1,100 girls from low economic backgrounds, and its work in promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development through the Cornell Sathguru Foundation for Development.

“Of all the accomplishments, the one closest to our hearts is the culture nurtured within.  Being certified ‘Great Place to Work’ four years in a row is an external validation for the sense of ownership every individual in the firms has towards the common goal,” he said.

Martin Sharp, executive director of DFK International, said: “Sathguru represents the best of DFK – a forward thinking and capable firm that looks after its people and cares about its community. The firm also actively participates in all aspects of the association, making a valuable contribution through referrals, training and knowledge sharing.  We congratulate Sathruru on reaching this milestone and its achievements along the way”.
