AJC Vanuatu has been accredited as a full member firm by DFK International.

Founded in 2003 in Port Vila, AJC first joined DFK International in 2009 as a correspondent member.

Since then, the firm has made its mark in a range of accounting and business advisory services, including audit and accounting, the incorporation of local and offshore companies, corporate secretariat, and support to investors seeking to obtain licenses issued by Vanuatu authorities.

Besides accompanying foreign corporate investors to help grow Vanuatu’s economy, AJC is also one of the designated agents authorised to market and promote the Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment program (CIB), a key source of public revenue and sovereignty for the country.

In recent years AJC has been through a thorough digital transformation and it now helps clients achieve the same.

It is proud to be a Xero Platinum Partner in Vanuatu, providing this solution at the cutting-edge of accounting technology.

The firm has also developed deep expertise in regulatory issues and offers tailored consulting on the matter when needed.

Vanuatu became independent in 1980, and before this was ruled by France and the UK for a century, with its official languages being English and French.

At the heart of Melanesia, between Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu is one of the youngest nations on Earth, blessed with a tropical climate and pristine nature.

While AJC is now the leading professional services firm in the country, it has stayed true to its roots as a family business.

It is headed up by Marie Eve Chabot, CA, CPA, a Canadian-born qualified accountant, and her team is made of 30 seasoned professionals including accountants, lawyers and digital communication experts.

Marie said: “We are very pleased to become a full member firm of DFK International.

“AJC strives to provide good quality service to its clients and deliver value, and DFK has been important throughout these years to accompany us in this journey.”

Marie Eve took over the leading role of Managing Director from Martin St-Hilaire two years ago.

AJC Director Martin added: “We have had connections with the association since 2009 and have been able to take advantage of the opportunities that the network offers as well as gain support with the structure of the business.

“During this time we have experienced fantastic growth which has seen the business triple in size 2009.

“We have already made a number of business referrals through the association, and it is an excellent benefit for our clients that we are able to refer them to like-minded firms in other countries when they are looking to do business overseas.

“It’s been great to connect with members virtually, but we are looking forward to being able to attend those in-person events when Covid restrictions allow.

“DFK’s annual conferences provide fantastic opportunities to network, share best practices, develop skills and hear more about the very latest technology.”
