Strengthening DFK’s Reach in Saudi Arabia: Arab Accountants Joins the Association

DFK International is delighted to welcome Arab Accountants Company, an independent audit and advisory firm headquartered in Riyadh, with branches in Jeddah and Dammam.

The firm provides audit and assurance, zakat and tax, financial advisory, and agreed-upon procedures services, with a focus on quality, practical advice and long-term client relationships. Their clients include Saudi-owned businesses, family enterprises and foreign-owned companies operating in the Kingdom, who they support in meeting financial reporting and compliance requirements, addressing business challenges and pursuing growth.

As Saudi Arabia’s transformation under Vision 2030 continues to attract international investment, the firm’s membership strengthens the association’s presence in one of the region’s most dynamic markets – combining local knowledge with access to international expertise for clients working across borders.

We spoke with Dyaa Mansour, CEO – Head of Audit & Quality, about the opportunities in the Saudi market, what drew the firm to DFK, and their ambitions for the years ahead.

What is happening in the Saudi market right now that makes this an exciting time for your firm?

“Saudi Arabia’s ongoing transformation under Vision 2030 is creating exciting opportunities for businesses and professional services firms. Economic diversification, investment across emerging sectors, and international business participation are creating a greater need for trusted local expertise.

For Arab Accountants, this is an opportunity to help clients establish and expand their operations, navigate tax and regulatory requirements, and strengthen their financial reporting and governance. Our membership in DFK International adds an exciting dimension, enabling us to combine our understanding of the Saudi market with international expertise and support cross-border collaboration across the association.”

What led you to seek an international association, and why DFK specifically?

“We sought an international association to support our firm’s growth and the increasingly international needs of our clients. As Saudi Arabia attracts businesses from around the world, we see an opportunity to connect strong local expertise with trusted international support.

DFK stood out for its collaborative culture, the independence of its member firms, and its emphasis on personal relationships. Our discussions with the DFK team reinforced that sense of shared values. We see membership as an opportunity to exchange knowledge, develop our people, and work with fellow members to support clients across borders, while preserving our identity as an independent Saudi firm.”

Where do you see the most immediate opportunities to collaborate with fellow DFK members?

“The most immediate opportunities are in supporting clients entering or expanding in Saudi Arabia. We can work with fellow DFK members to provide local audit, tax, and advisory support, particularly on VAT, withholding tax, and the practical requirements of operating in the Kingdom.

We also see opportunities to support Saudi businesses expanding internationally by connecting them with DFK members in their target markets. Alongside client work, we look forward to sharing technical knowledge and practical experience, building relationships that lead to lasting collaboration.”

What should a DFK member know before referring a client to the Saudi market?

“The key is to be involved early, ideally before contracts are signed or activities begin. The appropriate structure and obligations depend on the client’s activities, how services will be delivered, and whether a local presence is planned. These details should guide the assessment of licensing, tax, and compliance requirements.

It is also helpful to share the proposed contracts, ownership structure, expected transactions, and timeline at the outset. At Arab Accountants, we welcome early discussions with fellow DFK members so we can identify the relevant considerations and help their clients enter the Saudi market with a clear, practical plan.”

What are your ambitions for the firm over the next five years, and how does DFK membership fit into them?

“Over the next five years, our ambition is to establish Arab Accountants as a leading independent Saudi firm, recognised for quality, trusted relationships, and the development of our people. We aim to grow our audit, tax, and advisory services, invest in technology and training, and support more businesses as they expand within Saudi Arabia and internationally. A key objective is to obtain registration with the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA), enabling us to broaden our audit offering to clients within its regulatory remit.

DFK membership is an important part of that journey. It connects us with experienced professionals worldwide, creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, staff development, and joint client engagements. We want to be an active contributor to the association, bringing Saudi market expertise to fellow members while drawing on their international experience to better serve our clients.”

Is there anything about the joining process, or your first impressions of the association, that surprised you or that you particularly valued?

“What we particularly valued was the personal attention and welcoming approach throughout the joining process. The DFK team took the time to understand our firm and our ambitions, while giving us an opportunity to learn about the association and how we could contribute.

The warm welcome and introductions to fellow members reinforced our first impression of DFK as a community built on relationships and collaboration. We especially appreciated the emphasis on participation and mutual support, and we look forward to developing those connections through shared knowledge and client work.”
