DFK International’s presence in The Balkans has been strengthened with the addition of its first member firm in Croatia.

iAudit, a fast-growing audit and accountancy company based in Croatia’s third largest city of Rijeka, has joined the top 10 global accountancy association.

iAudit was founded in June 2011 by managing partners Boris Vidas, Nenad Mutic and Filip Zekan who had several years of experience working together as auditors for PwC.
Having established itself in Croatia working for a wide range of global and regional brands with a presence in the country, iAudit has become part of DFK International to help develop on a worldwide scale.

“We are looking to attract larger corporate clients and being part of DFK International will enable us to provide a greater level of service for those organisations operating in the global economy.”

Boris said: “Over the last two-and-a-half years, we have established a professional services company which now has eight employees including the three managing partners and around 50 clients.
“The business is developing much better than we had predicted and we believe this is mainly because of our auditing experience for large companies in Croatia and our high-level of service that would be expected from a Big Four company but at a more acceptable price.

“We are looking to attract larger corporate clients and being part of DFK International will enable us to provide a greater level of service for those organisations operating in the global economy.”
iAudit is now part of DFK International’s EMEA region which is made up of member firms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company was officially welcomed into the association at the DFK EMEA conference held recently in Budapest.

Martin Sharp, executive director of DFK International, said the association was delighted to have a presence in Croatia and to be able to support iAudit with its global aspirations.
He said: “iAudit has been building its client base in Croatia and is looking to expand significantly in the coming years.
“The company recognised that DFK International’s well-established and extensive network of firms all over the world would be the ideal vehicle for it to increase its international business.
“The Balkans are part of the emerging economies of Eastern Europe and iAudit’s membership will strengthen our presence in the region.”

DFK International expanded on every inhabited continent during 2013 with new member firms joining in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
